Sobre la originalidad y las múltiples formas de la creatividad — Instituto Allende, 2023
In August 2023, I participated in a cultural program at Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende with a presentation titled Sobre la originalidad y las múltiples formas de la creatividad (On Originality and the Multiple Forms of Creativity). The event formed part of a wider program of talks, workshops, book presentations, and artistic activities taking place between August 4 and 13. The title provided a starting point for considering originality not as an isolated act, but as something connected to processes of influence, transformation, interpretation, and making. The presentation became an opportunity to reflect publicly on questions that also appear throughout my studio practice: how ideas circulate, how they change through use, and how creative processes develop through different forms and contexts.
